The Michael Koenen All-Star NFL Football Kids Camp is a free, annual, non-contact football camp to provide children (3rd through 8th graders) of Whatcom county the opportunity to learn more about football as well as facilitate an understanding of the importance of athletics, staying in school, and making positive life choices. Pre-registration is required, you may register online.
The football camp participants will receive a full day of instructions that cover the basic fundamentals of the game, and there will be conditioning drills, technique stations, and small scrimmages. More importantly, participants will learn life skills such as teamwork, responsibility, and self-esteem. With the guidance of professional NFL players, they will learn how to become successful on and off the field by learning individual, sport-oriented skills, but more importantly developing personally and socially, building character and learning teamwork and related life skills through the application of athletics.
All participants will receive a souvenir t-shirt as well as a camp photo and NFL wristband. Participants may also be awarded with certificates of accomplishment for outstanding performance in events such as shuttle drill, long pass, long punt, and sportsmanship.
